Scruff if you have em 9 down in a shortened rain affected game you'd have to be confident of rolling em again surely?

do the harold road hustlers have fines that go towards the end of year trip? if so, gav the everywhere man should contribute at least ten bucks for answering his mobile while at the crease.

Following events with some turf games at the weekend, time for the ddca to revisit the guidelines for the laying down of covers.

why not put them down on thursdays after training when manpower is available. It seems its too hard on fridays for some, when others make the effort. The suggested change should especially apply early each season, based on weather patterns in recent years that suggest rain likely as each weekend approaches.  For those who are attached to fridays, the rule can revert to fridays when summer proper sents in.

what about penalties for clubs not putting down covers last friday, affecting the outcome of games on saturday? surely they should be penalised match points, otherwise this can happen again and again with impunity, especially when the home side may not be confident of scoring the required runs or taking the required wickets.

You're starting to make sense on here glovesy. A single wicket cover just for Thursday night should suffice. Surely the curator can manage that on a Friday on his pat. Then fri arvo the normal set goes down.
