I WOULD JUST LIKE SOME OPINIONS
on how many of you turf crickerters are going to watch the synthetic grades tommorrow .In all my years of cricket i could count on one hand how many of you would bother supporting the lower grades. Please understand that we actually pay fees and would love the support .Good clubs support each other .

Why would you want the support of people who obviously don't want to be there?

when round 2 was washed out we had a net session then organised a couple of drivers put in $10 each for grog and we had all of our t1 and t2 sides do the police padocks a grade and dandy showgrounds to watch 2 lower grade teams (worked out beautifully to be at the same venue)

Why wouldn't you want to be there Gooch. Nothing better than kicking back with your mates with an esky full watching more of your mates have a game. We had our 4 synthetic teams at the 20\20 on Tuesday night and we always support our mates at BRCC when we get a chance. We don't have a divide between our turf teams and synthetic grades like I'm told is the case at other clubs.

Mate, of course I go watch the other sides in our club. I never miss a 3rd team game back home. We all go down every Sunday and plough our way through about 4 bottles or Rose wine each!

I just couldn't be bothered giving "skills" a decent repsonse after his pathetic post and all this "count on one hand" sh1t. I know at least 7 or 8 of the first went to watch our seconds after we were called off last week.

Skill is actually on the money IMO

When the game is called off prior to Saturday or mid Saturday morning most Turf players do not go and watch the lwr synthetic grades. But on the other hand when the game gets called of say at 1.00pm game time when the ddca tell all players to report to the ground - then it seems the turf players go and watch synthetic.

When its called off early most make other plans but when its called off late its - "well i'm out anyway let's go support b grade"

in my experience when it gets called off early there is always a compulsory activity and you still have to front. Fielding practice, then watching lower grades. Or if lower grades washed out, cards and bowling, or whatever.......
Can't see too many teams accepting players not participating because of an early washout.......

that's true craig and i completely agree, family and making ends meet supercedes everything else.
but how many blokes out of your team of eleven will be able to pick up a saturday shift on a thursday night? If you hav'nt got 7 of your eleven at the club on a saturday for training and the like then i think a few of the boys are telling fibs......

so we agree craig, that if cricket is washed out early there should still always be a training hit or activity and supporting the rest of the club.....
Glad we cleared that up........
