What behavior is condoned in the spirit of cricket?
(A) when sledging a opposition player can u make reference to his mother? No
(B) when stumps is called is it ok to still carry on whilst the batsman/fielders are departing the field or once stumps is called the sledging stops? Depends what was said
(C) when a batsman takes guard it is ok to get in his face and abuse him and tell him he is about to get a can of worms opened on him? Get in his face and let him know you are there. (if there is his history) but can not go too hard
(D) If all the above have been committed then is it ok for the team/player in question not to join the opposition for a Beer after the game? Again, it depends what was said
Very interested to see if i am well within my rights to be fuming or have i over reacted.

Probably not. Family may be out of bounds.
(B) when stumps is called is it ok to still carry on whilst the batsman/fielders are departing the field or once stumps is called the sledging stops?
Absolutely. Often the best time.

Mid game Yes. Post Game No.

I may be wrong but Michelin Man you sound like a bloke who may not have played to much hard T1 cricket. Did you expect a hand shake and a clap for the incoming batsman. And then sooking on a public forum....pissa.

(A) when sledging a opposition player can u make reference to his mother? Wouldnt go the mother although I did tell a Hallam batsman I was fu.cking his cousin (we had been together for 10 years.........)
(B) when stumps is called is it ok to still carry on whilst the batsman/fielders are departing the field or once stumps is called the sledging stops? Sledging continues until you cross the boundry line. Once you have crossed that line, it is beer time and anything said on the ground should be left there (hence the term "white line fever")
(C) when a batsman takes guard it is ok to get in his face and abuse him and tell him he is about to get a can of worms opened on him? Absofu.ckinlutely. Give the bloke sh.it as soon as he walks out there. Sledge him for being a right hander. Sledge him for being a left hander. Sledge him for having a sh.it haircut. Sledge him cos his grip is a sh.it colour. Just dont mention his mother !
(D) If all the above have been committed then is it ok for the team/player in question not to join the opposition for a Beer after the game? No matter what happened on the field of play, you should always have a beer. If they carried on after they crossed the line, tell em to fu.ck off. Thats the way I see it.............
