50 over game

With the start off the ODI series today in Brisbane just wondering what every ones thoughts were on the future of the 50 over game with 20/20 now seemingly the flavour off the month?? Does it have a future?
Personally I love the 50 over game....plus it allows more cans to be consumed while watching!!!!

Unfortunately the game will wither away to be insignificant in a matter of years, experiments/improvements will be done to try and excite people into coming but it will only be momentarily and what once was the be all end all of a summer of cricket will lose touch with the people.

Wouldn't be surprised if in the near future a Twenty20 competition took the place of the present one-day grade in the DDCA each Saturday (or Sunday).

Could also be part of the normal fixture in either of the one-dayers after Xmas.

I would rather see Cameron White become skipper of our country in the shorter versions of the game.......let Clarke do the test matches. White has proven to be one of our best leaders and is in great form at the shorter versions of the game. Why not??

agreed mate they should have a different captain for each form
and maybe different players for each form
leave the 20/20 team to the young guys
