Congratulations to Dandy West on winning the Turf 2 flag. I wonder what the forum thinks of their chances in season 2010-11. Have they announced any arrivals or departures for next season yet?

Legal Aid they will be lucky to win 3 games this year. (not sure if they will get relegated or not) wouldn't be surprised though.

They probably have recruited ANOTHER import

Last time they won the Turf 2 flag they went on to win the Turf 1 flag the year after....not sure if there's anything in that.

Lets be serious for a minute. G-Train would be an excellent choice as CC for Dandy West. His experience when at Berwick alongside those talented cricketers and then his stint at Officer would be ideal. I would think DWCC would think the same.

I remember that. It seems that peoples attitudes havent changed. Still think you cant play unless your in Turf 1 with one of the bigger clubs? DWCC will be a heap better than Mordy, Saints, Keys, Narre. That then puts them in the mix based on my calculations.

And what do you base your calculations on Legal Aid????

How can anyone at this stage of the 2010-2011 season predict who will finish were, some clubs will lose players and some will gain players there for effecting a sides potential????

Hey, As sure as I am that the sun rises from the East and sets in the West, that those clubs I mentioned will battle..They always have and always will. They have each attacked on the recruitment front in the past and what have they achieved?...0.

Narre..one hit wonders. Made it up on the back of a slip up from Cranny that year. Since then they have struggled and if not for the fact that some of the other clubs are worse off, they would be back in T2 rebuilding.

Keys...say no more.

Saints..great club, great history, geat long serving players and people from within (Cashmans etc) but just are not up to it.

Mordy...bullied the poor T2 sides last season and won it on the back of 1-2 players.. Gee havent they set a great example on and off the field this year...

My thoughts, coments and experience comes from being a cricket lover, reader and participant. Have intimate knowledge on cricket within the Premier ranks as well as DDCA, WGCA, Box Hill Reporter and SUBBIES.

Is that ok?

Yeah beav mordi have struggled for years in turf 1, another stupid comment. And you can bet he would have had Buckley in that list also 2 weeks ago.

Not sure about a WGCA forum. I follow this forum to catch up with my mates from SSCC & other clubs. I think you will find that Buckley were not mentioned, nor was mordys years in T1. Those were your coments sheep man. Buckley were ace this year...bloody ace. Mordy were.....Mmmmmm....?? Great last year in T2. And this year....??

No it is not, your knowledge of Mordi only extends for what 2 seasons is that correct???

Narre are on the improve and probably harvest the most potential of young talent in T1 from what i sore this year.........they will improve and rise imo

But your 1st post was you saying basically who will hold up the ladder down the bottom, when you have no idea which clubs have landed big recruits or lost players.

Put it this way, If Narre hypothetically recruit Warren Ayres, Wendell Perumal & a gun ex district bowler would you still think they would finish bottom 4???

If Narre pick up those guys they will be ace but they wont. So it doesnt matter. Only the strong, smart clubs pick up the Waren Ayres type players. Not the Narre type clubs.

Tru, My Mordy assessment is based on 2 years. I will be happy to eat humble pie if Im wrong and will you if Im right?

Great young kids is the same excuse cranny have been running with? Hows that working for them? Not great hey..

My point is how do you know who will walk through the door at any club?

But i guess it is just your opinion so i can leave it at that, what makes you so certain Dandy West can make a successful leap? my understanding from what i have been told is most clubs come up and fall down very quickly?

You have appeared to jump on the back of one club who is been promoted and saying that other clubs who have been promoted or have been sitting in T1 for a while will be no good.

Granted the well recongnised clubs will be at the for front of the action but even the lesser likes can have there time in the sun??

I think DWCC can do what some others have styruggled to do in recent years. Place themselves in amongst the strong clubs straight away. They have done it before. I can recall the past and the clever recruiting that they did back then. Throw in G-Train if he is offered the job (which i suspect) he will be and add a touch of officer into the batting (M. Torney) and they have the right mix. Peter Lindsay and Neil Evans still involved down there? If so, even from a distance they will make sure that DWCC are a contender.

Other clubs may have people walk through the door but most unlikely. They usually dont get to those clubs door because the berwick, SSCC, bUCKLEY, Hallam etc..snap them up. Perfect example in Fridge.. The saints were in discussions with him but because they took to long in making a decision I believe berwick were approached and from what I heard, they made a decison within a day and a deal was done.

Normally i would agree, but it think it is way to obvious to be Gtrain.........if Goodsey was trying to be a alias he would be alot more clever in regards to keeping his anonymity then this bloke.

So on that theory i strongly believe it is not Gtrain.
