i can confirm that berwick have had discussions with fordy.
Good move. They are planning life without a few I suspect. Haven't seen them for sometime but they have some golden oldies. One or two might be better served stepping down from the Turf 1 side and putting something back into their seconds. I think they struggled this year.

mmmmm interesting post legal,at least those so called golden
oldies didnt run off when they are needed or the level of
cricket got to hard.
What are you trying to achieve by posting this crap???
Now Justin why did you post this and where did you
get your info from?????
not sure who the old man is but in answer to your question, I attended a recent wedding and that was the common thoughts of many who attended. The hardest thing for any cricketer appears to be knowng when its time to step down a level. No disrespect to anyone at the cave because one in particular has been a club champ for several years. Myself and several guests who attended this wedding were simply commenting on a known fact. Not many guys seem to work there way through the grades when their Turf 1 days are concluded. The last two I can recall who were both superstar DDCA stalwarts, were John and Richard Hammond.

See legal this is my whole point in the other thread about why you would hide behind an alias. You chose to hide because you knew it would weaken your argument and make you a hypocrit. You say that people should hang around and work back through the grades and help the lesser grades but as soon as your identity is exposed we see that you did exactly the opposite.

But those people who do go back thru the grades are quite often ridiculed for doing so, they score runs/take wicket's and than the questions start being asked why is he in that grade , why isnt he playing higher. Take 1 Andrew Chapman for example , played T3 or T4 took wickets and got canned on here for doing so instead of playing T1 Its a no win situation for some of them

Fair point about Chapman. I remember when people were critical of him. Not his fault. Played for several years, had numerous injuries and needed to lighten the load I suspect. Then he grabs bags of wickets and people bag him..He cant win. Does he still play? Would still be handy if he did.

Agree Sheepy, guys should work back through the grades if thats their desire or their clubs desire for them to do so. In my case it wasnt as simple as that. I think my services to the bears far exceeded any suggestion that I may have jumped without helping out the 2nds. (30 years of junior & senior cricket with them, 10 years on the committee, 5 years as prez, several $$$ raised via sponsorship, 5 premierships as a player). What else do you suggest I owed them? I think in the bears case it would be good for any experienced Turf 1 guy who is near the end to assist his Turf 2 boys who were bullied all year by far better sides. Rob chilver did a grand job over the past 2-3 years playing 2nds and assisting the young ones. Fortunately for him and unfortunately for the 2nds, he played in the 1sts this season and therefore his leadership was probably missed. The disclosure of my id was purely a direct result in mw having no knowledge of anyone elses id. Therefore I thought we were all playing equal. (excluding slocs, fridge, coatails) Still wouldnt have the slightest idea who you are or several others. Wouldnt stop me making a comment either way though.
Well im sure the Berwick people or anyone for that matter now know not to have a private conversation when your around legal aid.
Berwick guys dont keep anything under their hats. There never has and will never be any secrets with those guys. We are all big enough and ugly enough to keep things open. As for anyone else, well not sure about that. Have several juicy things I keep under my hat that would interest several of this forum. This would certainly not be the place to disclose such material. Any recruiting-arrival-departure news that I hear about I certainly will share it with the forum as its of interest to them. The exception being if a player seeks my opinion (as several have done) about moving on or leaving the bears or other clubs as its been the case recently, I will not disclose this info if that person has asked for it to be kept quiet.
Mate I didnt give a rats what you did or who you are, all my posts were simply replies to things you had said. what you just said about your identity is BS, you big long ridiculus rant on the other thread listed several reasons why you didnt feel the need to show who you where. Dont change your reasons once we all found out you were.
I dont know you and you dont know me but you had a crack at my club and others without putting your own head up and thats all I ever had an issue with

Which club would that be? Keys, narre, coomoora or saints?
Whats the chances of legal aids club asking him to pull his head in once they realise who he is ? Just like mordi did to beaver and we all know the dramas that came with that.
