Just a post to let anyone who might be interested know that I will not be playing in the DDCA for MMCC in 2010/11.
As you might know, my lifestyle is perhaps more suited to the city and as a result I have decided to go (along with Alex) to play for Port Melbourne.
I'd just like to use this opportunity to say what a great time I have had in this league and what a fantastic time I had at MMCC. There is not a bad person in the club and they made me feel like royalty - always willing to do anything for me. I will be very sorry to leave behind so many good friends and I wish the club all the very best in the future. With the young talent coming through the ranks, I am sure it wont be too long before the club becomes competitive once more.
I will still be showing my face around the grounds for sure and look forward to meeting up with many of you once more for a cold (ish!) one. :)
Well good luck with the next phase of your life mate, no doubt your move to Port will be a good one. And your words ring true about the MM's and i know for a fact you are well loved down there and that there will not be one person down there who won't be sad to see you depart. But i think it is fair to say both partys got a lot of good reward for your recruitment to the club.
Thank you to the loyality you have shown to my old club for the past couple of years, Good luck in the future As you signature says "MMCC wont be the same again".

Goochy, just wanted to wish you the best of luck in your new ventures. Those that have criticised you externally dont understand how great of an impact you had at the Methos. While the 1st team struggled over your three years your bowling carried the team: 07/08 26 Wickets @ 17; 08/09 25 Wickets @ 17; 09/10 27 Wickets @ 17. Consistency with a capital C. Also lets not forget your 200+ runs last year. Plus the poker nights and functions you were involved in. You continued to return each year knowing you could have had it better at another club and for that Im sure the club is grateful. The hole you have left will give one of the many youngsters an opportunity to put your bowling advice to good use and stand up. You will be sorely missed and I look forward to having a beer when you are back in Oz. Cheers mate.
He might have had a more successful time if blokes like you put up their hand every now and then, and not always left things up to him and Thomsy, Monkey

Shut up Rocafella, come back when you know what your talking about and you arse stops pointing to the sun you half wit.
Fair point Rocafella, what you say is correct. I would have loved to put my hand up more often but at the end of the day I am just an average park cricketer. Not making excuses but if you consider I was the only player between the age of 21 - 32 in the 1's you can understand why they struggled. There is plenty of upside to those players under the age of 21 so give the MM's a couple of years and they will come good.
Have a look at the stats Beaver its plain for everyone to see, who the 2 most relied on players bar yourself for your 1 season cameo. And monkey doesnt seem to agree with you Monkey , Is that why you gave it away halfway thru last year lost interest?
I think you will find that I did play the last few games last year. Yes the 1st team will look different with some players missing from last year, but as I said before the club has plenty to look forward too with the quality of kids comming through.
Yes you are righ My mistake. What about Moldrich and Goldfinch when do you expect they will start to fire ? And again the comment of the good kids coming thru and plenty to look forward too, only if you can keep them and they dont go to other clubs
Moldrich and Goldfinch have plenty of potential. Both went to distict cricket a few years back to play 3rd's and 4th's and for whatever reason their cricket went backwards. The above point is exactly why kids shouldn't leave and clubs should hold them back, at least until they are ready for District 2nd's. Just my opionion.
Yes he did, that's no biggy though..............runs in hard , good action and hit's the deck hard. If he can consistenlty hit good areas he'll take wickets.......
