Rod Tucker has been appointed to the ICC Elite Umpires Panel and the following comes from the press release from CA:

"His place on the Cricket Australia National Umpires Panel has been taken by Victorias Ashley Barrow.

Barrow has been on the Cricket Victoria State Panel since 2006-07 and has umpired at both the Under-17 and Under-19 CA national male championships in recent years.

Barrow also attended the CA Emerging Umpires Program in 2009, was appointed to the 2009 Under-19 International series between Australia and Sri Lanka, and stood in the 2009-10 Futures League Twenty20 tournament."

Well done to Ash, life member of the DDC Umpires Association and past Advisor for 10 years.

I really hope Ash finds out who you are Johnny and then you will find out the meaning of fair play.

Why don't you man up and tell us who you so we can all concentrate on facts.

What accusation has been made Stumpy? I've proof read my post 15 times now and each time I hace failed to find any accusations.

It sounds to me like you're jumping at shadows.

I was merely pointing out that Ash's history of a being a fine citizen would've been a positive for him when the powers to be chose him for his new position.

He's never thrown punches at collegues outside the pavillion after a few too many or done anything that would be seen in a negative way. Some umpires should follow in his footsteps and follow his example.

Not guilty of that.  The mods obviously thought it best to delete your original post all on their own

I agree Slocs. Not once was Stumpy or his name mentioned in my original post, I'm lost as to why he took such offence to it.

I only put the news on here as a lot of people know Ash from his time at Doveton and Fountain Gate and as Umps Adviser.  And he is a home grown DDCA person who has accomplished what he set out to achieve some twelve years ago when he started umpiring

And I acknowleged by replying that his sqeaky clean record and good character would've been a positive for him in the panels decision making. You for some unknown reason relpied with the following

You have some serious anger issues Stumpy, remember all the times you've threatened me...........what is your problem with me? Why are you trying to belittle me on this forum?

well to be fair to stumpy all you have done johnny peckerhead is accuse stumpy of throwing punches at a particular function last year. all you do is bag people. nick off.

Not once in this thread have I accused Stumpy of throwing punches at anyone. All I ever get from him is ridicule and threats of violence, I'm actually suprised the mods have let it go on for this long!

Petty? If he's gonna walk off the field at 3:30pm on a 35 degree day and start grabbing cake and scones without washing his hands I'm gonna bring it to his attention. If anything I'm doing him a favour.

Anyway, this thread is about congratulating Ash Barow on his new umpiring appointment, well atleast it was untill Stumpy went on a "hate Johhny Fairplay" rampage. So well done Ash, I'm sure you'll do a terrific job and have a long and rewarding career.
