What brand and weight do you like your cricket bats? I'll be interested to see the similarities or differences between everyone.

I use Kookaburra bats. I normally start my innnings with a 2.8 pound stick and if I'm still in when it's time to open up the shoulders I grab my other bat which is 2.10 pounds, I find the extra weight helps me a bit when I expand my stroke play.

Really I tend to go the other way start with a heavy bat to concentrate playing in the "V" and then switching to a lighter bat once set. Using a lighter bat increases my bat speed thus enabling more power to my strokes BTW I use Cannon bats after switching from GN a last year.

I have massive forearms though Rocafella, so bat speed isn't an issue for me. You must be a little dweeb by the sounds of things, hit the gym pal and eat lots of protein.
