UPDATE: A teenage girl at the centre of a sex scandal with a St Kilda footballer has published a photo of a naked player on her Facebook page.

The photo on the girl's page shows one footballer naked and another semi-naked and is the girl's profile picture.

She is encouraging her friends to forward the photo to everyone to humiliate the players.

The girl claimed she became pregnant with twins to a St Kilda player before this year's season.

3AW has chosen not to publish the image at this time.

St Kilda Football Club says it has been made aware of an image of two of its players being posted on the internet.

"The Club can confirm that the image was not distributed with the players' consent. The Club can also confirm that the photo was not taken by the person responsible for posting it online and believes that it was obtained illegally," the Saints said in a statement.

"As the matter is subject to discussions between St Kilda Football Club, Victoria Police and its legal representatives, the Club is not in a position to make any further comment at this stage."

EARLIER: A policeman's been suspended over allegations he had sex with a teenage girl who'd filed a misconduct complaint against an AFL footballer.

The Herald Sun's reporting the 17-year-old girl had made several allegations to police after becoming involved with a number of AFL stars she met at a school sports clinic.

Ethical Standards Department members questioned the officer who was investigating the matter, who's since been suspended.
