It is with deep regret that we advise of the death overnight of Lorna Wookey, wife of DDCA & DDCUA Life Member, Alan Wookey, after whom our Turf 1 Fairest & Best Player's medal is named.

Lorna had been ill for some time, but her passing is a sad occasion not only for her family, but for her many friends throughout the DDCA & the DDCUA.

Alan Wookey is held in the highest esteem by the DDCA and, as a mark of respect, clubs and umpiresare requested to wear black armbands & observe one minute's silence before senior games at the weekend (or if matches are washed out, then at the start of the next appropriate match).
