Sir, this kind of thing happens everywhere around the world. We, may not agree with it, but usually the offenders are well an truly aware of the punishment before they commit the crime.............

-Do not smuggle Heroin into Singapore
-Do not commit murder in Texas
-Do not commit adultery in Afganistan.

I'm not saying I agree with it, clearly its barbaric but is it really worse than any other form of capital punishment?

I don't think smoking weed should be illegal. But that **** will get you hung in some countries !

You just have to abide by the laws, in which ever jurisdiction you happen to find yourself in,
and say thank fcuk you live in Australia..........

understand your point. but there are world leaders, people with power who can change all this. its a disgrace that this form of punishment can still happen in our world. the UN, the worlds most powerful leaders and countries such as us, uk, china, france, russia etc could stop this from happening. the couple in question were interviewed about four weeks ago while in hiding and the question was asked of australia " should we help them" can we help? they were told they were safe and coaxed into going back home. its not humane and i will never understand why it cannot be stopped. mandala changed sth africa, the twins towers are gone, the us has black president, it can be stopped, anything is possible.

Sir,

Sadly it can't be stopped. Yes the countries you name are powerful but world politics, race. religeon and money will always dominate. The US is broke and proved it can't fight 2 wars. China refuses to stop Nth Korea and again tension in the Middle East is spiralling.

Yes it is shocking and proves that really the world never changes, this has happened since time began

Sir,

it can't be stopped because as soon as there is pressure on the world economy the whole thing goes mad. The slightest hint of a global down turn and bang the wolds in crisis.

No one can change religeous beliefs. How can the Catholic church be the biggest employer in the world and continue to protect the very guilty. Its about money and yes it phucking terrible
