T2 Coomoora vs Southern Pirates
Permalink Closed

Can someone please explain to me why Coomoora didnt attempt to pass the miserly 67 run total made by the Pirates on day one?

32 overs to do so and could only manage 2/50 odd;
Surely with all the inclement weather that has taken place this season and yet another washout looking likely this week, you'd think it was a perfect opportunity to get the runs and secure 6 points and top spot...?

I would have thought if a team batted for 48 overs and managed to get bowled out for only 67, 2 fa 50 off 38 would have been pretty good going ?

yeh in most cases it would be, but first versus last, i dont think so peanut.
Southern pirates have struggled to crack 100-150 all year and there home deck is one of the best in the league.
When i think of there bowling attack, adjectives come to mind like "Cannon Fodder" and "Pedestrian"

Fair call, but i think the skipper might be the main culprit

Had a look at the ladder there TMF.  Pirates have taken 62/1474 at 23.77 per wicket where your mob has taken 50/1219 @ 24.38 per wicket.
So by that their attack is similiar if not slightly better than yours????
Just a thought!

snakepit unfortunately because of the weather some for and against stats are lop sided. that goes for all grades. like buckley t1 have only lost 36 wickets or so in 10 games. hard to tell with all the rain this year.

This is true Slocs but I also know which ground  I'd like to bowl at every second game. Have also played St Brigids. I just really don't think they should be bad mouthing any attack when theres isn't that great either.

Peanut ?! Bit harsh !
You asked a question to which I gave a logical answer, and you up me peanut !
If you were trying to make a statement rather than ask for opinions or logical reasoning, thoughts ? Probably wasn't the best way to end your post......
