No offence to your mob Terrible but how come you guys are even in the regional T20 Comp? I always thought that the top 2 from the DDCA's T20 competition were the teams that went through. That was Buckley and us last year. I don't get it.
Never train. Turf 2 premiers have always played maybe except for Mordi one year. I think that was because we were regional champs from the previous year and Buckley t20 champs.
Ok, so why do the Turf 2 premiers get a gig then? I can sort of understand your mob getting in for being Turf 1 Premiers, but surely if we are submitting 3 teams into this competition then the grand finalists from the T20 are one of them. It's a totally different game, it should be based on results in that form in my opinion, not anything else.
HSD all out 121. Ganagoda 32 of 20 balls the best for HSD with jarrod armitage taking 4/12 off 4 overs. Sharp anothe 'cheap' wicket at the end. SSCC 7/122 off 19 overs. Jim Boyd seeing the bloods through with 44 of 42 balls. Best bowler for HSD was Trevor Davies 2/19.
Geez they were at it again last night. After the much highlighted catch claim in round 1, a fielder last night tried to claim it was 4 after dropping it 10 meters over the line! Then while light was fading what should have been a 10 second search for a lost ball turn into a 5 minute stoppage whilst the ball was under someones boot. Lot to answer for at the pit....
Ok, just to clear a couple of things up, the young boy who was on the boundary fielding near the SSCC team copped abuse all night and was almost in tears at the end of the game. He dived for a catch and thinks that he stopped it from going for 6. After signalling to the umpire that it was 4, he copped the biggest spray ever seen by the SSCC boys (especially Wenke) and they basically scared him into saying it was 6. Bad play by Sloc's men!
Secondly, the ball was clearly lost. Very long grass and even the umpires struggled to find it so I have no idea what captain Grumpy is on about.
Thirdly, I thought we play by the code, 'What happens on the field, stays on the field'... none of the SSCC blokes came in for a drink (after we invited them in) and a couple of them refused to shake our hands...
interesting actions for the so called yardstick of the comp!!!
Well firstly mr horrible I think the young man was tearing up because he knew he'd been busted telling porkies.
As for the umpires looking for the pill, that confirms my 5 minute call as how long do you think it would take moose to walk from the wicket to the boundary?
And as for the beer, it was colder and cheaper out the back in the esky thanks.
See you next week

Of course your going to say that but I think it's common knowledge that the Ayres/SSCC relationship is on massive thin ice!
Wasn't down to play saturday and didn't play last night... say whatever you want but we all know where the smart money is!!!
I can not believe you came on your own clubs forum and slagged off a 15 yr old kid the way you did. I honestly thought you were a decent bloke but it makes sense now.
Even though you got the points last night, you really lost a lot more in most peoples eyes!
