a certain hallam batsman was racially vilifying a dandy west player, they both started walking towards each other, hallam batsman with bat ready for clubbing action. the dandy west player spread his nose across his face. of course the hallam team ran out onto the ground for a bit of push and shove, as far as i know hallam took their bats and balls and left after 39.1 overs. uncalled for behavior in cricket i reckon. i thought cricket was a gentlemans game. its wrong if someone doesnt get a lengthy ban for this. nice example for the youngsters etc. (who by the way probably act more mature than some senior players)
i didnt see this happen either. i was told by a west player (should be pretty reliable)who was on the ground. some details could be percieved differently from another point of view.
Heard a rumor the league asked both teams to continue on tomorrow and finish the game, but hallam had 4 juniors at the game and parents refusing to let them play tomorrow. To my understanding Dandy West have won as it has come down to Hallam forfieting. What a shame for cricket.
