Kemo Sabbi, Tonto tells me you got your feathers crossed. Him Big Chief Full of Bull at Bloods the one who had his thinning top laser levelled and top soiled to stimulate growth rather than investing in a rug for coming season.

from what my sleuthing has uncovered, a number of groundsmen appear to have uphill battle to get decent wickets ready by round 1 unless there is a run of dry, warm weather. a few too many have a poxy look. biggest surprise was the one where the squirrel with large nuts hangs out in the overhanging surrounding elms. usually one of the best wickets, but at this stage it looks very ordinary and behind in preparation compared with other years. bowlers licking their chops all round.

with what ever wickets get up certain teams may get an advantage of an outright win. But honestly aren't half the wickets a bit dodgy for rounds 1 and 2 most of the time?

Turf 1 Ben Kavanagh Reserve, Parkfield Reserve and Coomoora not in use due to state of wickets for Round 1
Turf 2 All grounds available Round 1
Turf 3 Council works at Booth Reserve mean Hampton Park has no home games all year.
Turf 4 Ben Kavanagh Reserve not available Mordialloc to play One day match on Sunday 14 October
Turf 5 All Hallam Kalora Park and Buckley Ridges home games to be played on Sundays. All Hampton Park home games have been transferred to opposition grounds on
Sundays, meaning opposition clubs will receive an additional home game due to Booth Reserve being unavailable.

Rounds 4, 5 and 6 matches scheduled for E G Allen Reserve have been transferred to Sunday games due to unavailability of ground
Round 8 - Hampton Park v Lynbrook to be played at Reedy 1 due to ground unavailability.

This is the current situation with the fixture but I'm sure that some decks won't get up for Round 1 day 1 so expect more changes.

So the Mordi v P/field game is now being played at Lois Twohig and Coomorra play the first 3 rounds away

I just had a quick look at the fixture and noticed our T2 side is playing at Strathaird Reserve vs Narre Sth in round 11 (Feb 23 March 2). What are the odds of the wicket being right to go for that match?

The following four City of Casey turf grounds are unfit for play this Saturday (6th October), so all scheduled matches will be played as one-day games on the weekend of 13th & 14th October -

Arch Brown Reserve - Turf 1 - Berwick v Dandenong West (Saturday) & Turf 5 - Berwick v Doveton North (Sunday)

Max Pawsey Reserve - Turf 2 - Fountain Gate v Narre North

Power Reserve - Turf 3 - Doveton North v Hampton Park

Strathaird Reserve - Turf 5 - Narre South v Southern Pirates

MyCricket fixtures have been amended accordingly.

It is important that covers are not applied to the above four grounds this weekend.
