With former champions of the club leaving and retiring in recent years, (and also with the loss of Bobby Gray), and with a few ex players and loyal clubman unhappy with some happenings down at the club, and the average age of the senior side being 57 this year, could this be an end of an era for this once successful and proud club? Anyway, I really hope things work out better this year than the gloomy outlook that appears almost certain, as i think they really are a great club and i have a lot of respect for the guys down there. Good luck in these hard times guys.

very interesting point you raise train, their has not been much new QUAILTY blood down there in the last few years, may cost them dearly....... once your down in turf 2, very very hard to come back.......

Exactly, let's just hope they can get through this year without doing too much damage. I really mean that, it'd be great if they could one day get back up to Berwick's standards again.

God you Berwick people and ex-Berwick sound so much like the Geelong Football club, their players and supporters....... a bunch of figjams.

And we know what happened to them.

You guys are worthy of being touted as early premiership favourites...better not fu'ck up and choke like you did a few years back against a team that was too old and too slow or you'll be known as the Port Adelaide of the DDCA.

what happened to them Fathertime? They were runners up for the premiership and they won it the year before. Not bad really out of 16 teams. Better than the saints or the metho's have done in recent years i'd say. If you had something to spruik about you would too. But you don't. Stiff.

BTW, if you took that comment seriously you are a fool. Obviously just fishing for a few bites. Problem was I got you instead of a Springy Sth person. Or are you these days?

Oh and we never choked a few years back either, that was one of the greatest grand finals this comp has ever seen, and i was very proud to be a part of it even if we did get rolled.

Perhaps Persuader, but he's had no involvement in those successes whatsoever. There is no doubting you blokes have been a great and succesful club for a long time. It's just a pity that the reign at the top has had to come to an end like this....
