Last year we got through because we played good cricket, but also we took the competition very seriuosly and other clubs whilst they were competitive didn't give themselves every chance. I am surprised Berwick "rested" anyone. This competition last year directly resulted us in winning $3000 and 10 slabs plus the greatest single days cricketing experience in the history of the club! We won't be resting anyone and I will be imploring all our players to make arrangements with their work. Indirectly hosting the twenty20 games is also a financial wind fall.

seen three of them by memory....great cricket all of them. i presume there's no Danny this year so he'll be a huge loss especially witrh the bat as i think he got good runs in alll the games i watched.

I hear what you're saying BB, but i think those that were rested, were legitimitally rested. Put it this way, Ash Henry was away still, Simon Cornell has to work Tuesday's coz he works in a resturaunt, Jimmy P pulled up pretty sore from the wkend, Gav Wills was rested (or omitted for a harder hitting batsman!) and pretty much the rest played. I think in the past the bears have taken the 20/20 fairly lightly but they don't appear to be anymore. From memory when we won it a few years back, we only had 3 or 4 ones players per game in the lead up matches.

Hallam were just the better side on the night, plain and simple.
