0/70 off 13, test is all over. India should just try and bat for 5 days and make 2000!

What do they expect when they pick a spinner from tassie to tour india with a 1st class ave of 40 odd. Im not against him playing this test cause they needed to try something different but why is he even there to start with?

2o2s, I agree with you about Hadden.....Payne from Tassie would be my choice.

a day later Bobby and that post looks a bit foolish doesn't it. He was the pick of the bowlers.

Should've played him before White cause at least he turns it. White can bat a bit but he was selected as a spinner...sh'it Jeff Thom from the MMs turns it more than him and he bowls right arm nude nuts.

and while we're on it l would've thought about giving young Marsh a crack...don't know who i would've dropped to make way for him though ?

I agree with Bobby. And how can it look foolish till we see the Indian spinners bowl?

If you can't find a bowler with a better first class average than fking 50 you have massive problems.

The guy has gone for almost 5 an over and if the persuader bowled 30 overs in a day he would snag some wickets as well.

I hate to say it but im shopping around for the best odds for england next ashes.

Don't look too hard 2o2s. We're not playing England on lifeless dust bowls, we'll have no trouble in bowling them out twice on English wickets.

I agree with Bobby. I can see why he's playing, but I don't know why he was picked in the squad for starters. Not only is his career average poor, his statistics last year were hardly world-class either.

Why is White still in the side?

Clark is a better bowler than Johnson & Lee.

Maybe not in those conditions though Lois.

The one game that Siddsy played he was probably the best of the lot of them, should be playing.

Yep, at least Siddle bowled with a bit of zip & enthusiasm.

And at least he had a reasonable first-class record behind him (albeit a short career thus far)!

We have a far greater chance of winning these Ashes than we had in 2005.

Really at the end of the day it shows the lack of quality spinners we have in Australia. I mean who else would get picked after McGain who had a good domestic year last year.

Goochy, in all honesty I don't think the Poms have the quicks to bowl the Aussies out.

Anderson, been hammered many times by the Aussies.

Sidbottom, looks a good bowler.

Broad, will get smashed.

Harmison, who knows? Unreliable.

Flintoff will be the Poms big hope.

Anyone else coming through ?

You obviously havent watched us too much Matt.

1) Flintoff - say no more. Absolutely firing at the minute
2) Harmison. Right back on song after a full season of county cricket. Countless overs and over 60 wickets and led Durham to the flag. He has the ball coming our perfect - something I have never seen him do before. Immaculate seam position pointing at first slip time after time. Also bowling up to 93mph again.
3) Sidebottom. Arguably now the best swing bowler in the world
4) Anderson. A revelation in the last year or so. Finally delivering. 50 wickets in last 2 series at home at 26 apiece.
5) Panesar. Best left arm spinner in the world. Including Vettori. 80 wickets at 27 apiece in home test matches.

Anyone coming through? Simon Jones just played his first full season back from injury and won the National Averages.

That ok for you? ;)
