my tip will be for mitch johnson to tear it up in england.

Harmison blows, doesnt he get homesick if he leaves his county? Won't do a thing next year.

Gooch, TBH I don't know alot about County cricket but a bloke like Ravi Bopara dominates it yet can't make a run when he palys for England. Is that the differnce in standard or just different circumstances and his position in the team.

County cricket is now a VERY good standard mate. Don't be fooled by years gone by.

Durham for example have Benkenstein, Harmison, Collingwood, Chanderpaul, Mustard, Di Venuto, Plunkett etc

To answer your question slocs, lynbrook A grade would beat a durham team with no overseas players.

Good question Slocs -  though irrelevant!!!

We are discussing the fact that County cricket is much tougher these days. Overseas/Kolpak players are here whether we like it or not.

Nothing to do with how good your state sides are.

Rob - no-one is writing off Australia. Stop trying to talk a quality outfit into the underdog role!!

I am saying that they are (obviously) not the force they were and next summer will be very close. I think we will edge it.

Stef - Aaron Heal played a full season in our league in 2006. He got 42 wickets at 24 apiece and went for 3.5 an over!!! Nice bloke though.

Even Fridge took him for a ton!

Exactly - in 2006 though Goochy, he as obviously come a long way since cos he is representing WA and playing well.. So he has kicked on since then..
