I can tell everyone on this forum right now that the SSCC will win the premiership!
Going into this game i thought it was their batting that was their strength by a fair way but can assure all the teams that may play them in the finals that this is not the case.
Well sort of.
I haven't really seen much of their batting bar 2 blokes!
Their bowling is outstanding. Nicko has got to be in the top 3 seamers in the comp easily, Scalesy supports him well. Young Ford is going to be a superstar in this comp IMO, Slick adds variety and is attacking all the time, therefore being a wicket-taker. I didnt face Sura but I know he goes well.
Hardly any half volleys, very good lengths and good yorkers is what went on.
This is the best side in the comp right here, IMO of course...

I agree Terrible. I think there bowling is definitely there strength. They bowl very good lengths and have a very good mix of pace, swing, seamers and spin. Obviously very well coached too, you can see they bowl to plans and are disciplined enough to stick to them.

Easily the best all round side in the comp and agree with the forum that they are near certainties for the flag this year. With Berwick unlikely to make finals and Buckley maybe falling over I can't see another side that will come close.

Looks like the silverware if off to Harold Rd. again......

agreed, best 'team' we've played this year by a mile - well disciplined and way too good for us. I hope we can more more of a challenge to you next week as last Saturday was embarrassing.

Could be a long day in the field eh boys? 40 plus. The DDCA has a mercy rule if it is over 38 and a first innings result has already been achieved then the game can be called off.

But if I was Slocs I'd bat all day..............................

Just had a quick look through the DDCA Senior Rules and no such rule exists.

Match Committee usually put out a call on Radio Show early Saturday morning about Extreme Heat policy.  Moose is chair of that Committee I think? and he is on radio so will wait to hear.

just had an interesting phone call from someone down at wachter saying that parkfield had called them asking to reserve the old clubrooms on the hill at wachter for when they play the grand final there. now thats confidence.

Stumpy you clown, it is common knowledge that the DDCA has a common sense rule regarding the heat. Just because it isn't in writing doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

The LBW rule is in writing though and the stinker you gave the Cranbourne skipper last round was appauling to say the least. The even up decision you gave later on was just as bad too.

True Craig......but unfortunately they said the rooms were already booked by Criag from SSCC in November and he has asked for the rooms to be decorated with red and white streamers and balloons for their GF celebrations. Always one step ahead........NOW THAT IS CONFIDENCE!!

Heard from a source that you have already been named as Captain of the DDCA team of the year and form part of the selection committee? Can this be verified/denied?

Just spoke to Slocs on the phone and I agree with him Narre should be kept in the field until 6 oclock or 80 overs.

Word around town is the DDCA has written a letter of apology for accussing them of breaching the salary cap. They now feel confident that they are nowhere even near paying the full amount considering they cant make over 100 runs on a consisted basis.

It was addressed to sweeney reserve.

Pull the chain and look what crops up JF.  I have been involved in quite a number of discussions with the DDCA regarding a Heat Policy over the years, in liaison meetings.  There was never a policy and still isn't.  as I said the Match Committee make a call on match day and that's all there is.

As for LBW decisions you obviously can comment from a position which noone but yourself would judge.

Also there was only one LBW for the match so you are more a fool than I first thought

You should change your avatar to this

See full size image

as this is how the rest of this forum regards you

Stumpy, where did I mention there was more than 1 LBW for the match? There are other modes of dismissal you stump assemblers have to make a decision on. Once again you have made a fool of yourself.
I am suprised the umpiring heirachy haven't banned you from this forum, they must cringe everytime you post on here.
