Helpful hint : Just before you run out, chuck your creams under a cold shower.
I did it last week, Beautiful....................
In the heat i change my shirt, socks and all at tea after having a shower. It felt ok last week but it will be test this week.
i might try that but then that might make me heaver then what i already should be. Harder enough as it is running into bowl with dry whites let alone wet ones.
Remember that day Stumpy. Played Dandy West at their ground. On of the umpires couldn't go on and threw in the towel. Big Jorgo was left to officiate at both ends by himself.
Now if Jorgo can get through it, anybody can.............................
Of course it will be hard, and I am far from being a finely tuned athlete, but we only play eleven games as it is, and have already had one round called off due to rain. My side has played at least 3 one dayers already.
Surely with some common sence, extra drinks etc. We can get through a days play. If somebody is struggling that bad, get them off the ground for 5 overs, have a cold shower or something? Get some kids down to sub field for a bit.
I don't know but surely calling the whole weekend off is a bit extreme.................
I am with you elpres 100% all the way, Bloody Fridge and Goochy and there fellow men play masses amount of games. We only play eleven, just because it is hot we want to call it off come on, when you play cricket in summer you know you will get a few hot days. Ok not 43 but 40 is close enough so take some harden the F*** up pills and get the job done, if everyone had the attitude of not wingeing and complaining just to rock up and get through it and move on.
Spare a thought for the fire fighters covered in those heavy and hot outfits they wear. Do they call it off when it gets to hot.

You would be the worst captain to bowl himself since Dave Jenson. I may have to speak to grubby.
I have it on good authority, that this weeks DDCA games will continue as per normal. With extreme heat conditions to come into play, ie extra drinks brakes & towels & drinks on Ice near the boundry etc.
Good result cricket will be the winner.

Because the DDCA sec came on here and said they would decide in the morning.
Mate the decision has been made, they are meeting tomorrow for the radio anyway and they are just showing that the heat is under consideration by meeting as they have been inedated with phone calls.

Fair dinkum beaver, you have just confirmed what the majority (the one's who matter) think about you on here being a complete tosser. Have you ever thought that fire fighters do what they do because it is HOT and because they want to do something good and MAYBE it's their job?? It has nothing to do with what attire they are wearing you knob. Fcuk me mate, I tell ya, if you had another brain it would be fcuken lonely. Serioulsy dickhead, think before you speak. I can't believe that you can put playing cricket and firefighting in the same sentence.
