I have insurance but apparently one of the families that lost there house doesn't have insurance.
I heard the same thing about an hour ago, spoke to a friend of that family, they just moved into the house 2 or 3 months ago and hadnt got around to organising insurance.
The houses that burnt down are only 6 doors down from my house. I got a call yesterday to go home and check my joint while I was on the drink with the boys. The place was chaos and it was very sad to see what had happened, hit's home pretty hard when it's nearly on your own front door step. My house is full of ash at the moment.
I don't think we could even imagine what they went through Gooch.
went for a drive up there last night prince, it was a terrible sight, your a lucky one.
I just walked down for another look Sir, it's bloody aweful. It would've had to jump the road and burn through 5 houses to get mine. It's like a tourist attraction at the moment, people and cars everywhere.

just heard on the news brian naylor (old channel 9 presenter) is missing and hes wife didnt make it. pretty sure he lost his son last year in a plane crash, not good.
one of my wife good friend's husband has being missing for 24 hrs...... does not sound too good.
It brings us back to earth a bit doesn't it ?
where from?
He was at Marysville. There's nothing left of it there.... it's just vanished. He wasn't in the list of evactuees and still no news this morning so it looks like he's gone. It'll hit my wife and my inlaws pretty hard as they were pretty close and they've known them for a lifetime.
Not on their pat malone though....with 108 dead and rising i am sure it'll touch a lot of people out there.
