I will be there representing the mortiallox criket club and struting around like i made 500 runs in turf 2 larst year. for any of use who want to introduce yourselve to me i'll be the big fat bloke at the table with all the food and i will most likly have a big sauce stain on my shirt.lol

Hopefully all clubs will be represented so interviews can be conducted and information gleaned (prospects, new recruits, changes, promising juniors coming through, etc).

There is a guest speaker, Casey-South Melbourne Coach Mark Ridgeway and all attendees have been requested to wear club shirts to add to the colour of the night.

No doubt someone from Mordialloc will be there, Brett?

I was gunna go and repersent mortiallox but the president pulled me aside and said they will be sending somewon else who wont say somthing stupid and embarass the club. i think its just a ploy to keep me away so other clubs dont poach me away like what happened when i left maranarfa mefodust.

Coomoora will be represented tonight by their 19 yr old skipper and their 21 yr old vice captain...

Underwhelming DDCA launch tonight. Interestingly no show and no apologies from Mordialloc. Whats going on Beav??? Not a great start by the club in Turf 1.

I am not sure what happened to be honest Murph, no excuses but i only found out about the event roughly 2 days before it on this forum & to be on Grand Final eve ? & me been a Saints man ruled me out for the night.
But by your report it appears perhaps many club's were not represented on the night, maybe you can tell me why that is.

Poorly organised; a boring format but clubs have known for weeks. Those that couldn't have the captain or coach at least had someone.

Really disappointing tonight. I obviously believe in the concept of the night, but for clubs not to show up at all (especially those in Turf 1) and for the other clubs who had their say then left (except for those with their own functions on) was just rude IMO. Pour Hutchy tried to do his best Fev impersonation and their was know one there to see it.............

If this function is to take place again I feel that there are only two clubs who deserve to host it because for the second time only Narre and Doveton Boys remained until kicked out and probably combined outnumbered every other club combined for the second half of the night.

Special mention to Hutch for his 013 call. "Give me the number to the Casey Scorpions upstairs bit".................."Do you deliver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Absolutely hilarious !
