I understand that their may have been some heavy words said at a ddca meeting during the week which also involved all clubs and was directed at a certain club in the springvale area clearly not compling with rule 7.  can anyone confirm this?

I might pull the strings at Mordi mate, but we know who pulls the strings in the DDCA and that is you mate! LOL Looking forward to playing you in round 3 and finally getting to bowl at you hopefully.....Good Luck this week.

looking forward to it too... hopefully get through and your skipper rolls his arm over....

Ha ha, if i bowl means you guys are about to pass us 1 down with plenty of overs left or you are 9 down still with 200 to win & even still that might be a risk.
You have seen me bowl my tweakers would not even knock the top off a latte.

everyone knows that the majority of wickets/grounds are not quite fit for cricket due to the hold up in preparations with last weeks weather. for god sake suck it up and have a quality one day game next week. logic.

Craig speaks alot of sense.

We don't wont Rd1 to be decided on the toss of the coin allowing one team to get the better batting conditions week 2, because in the long run it may cost someone a finals spot or relegation or even a double chance.

Fair point beav but that can happen in any round if it pisses down late in the week why should round 1 be any different.

I would feel worse if the comp came down to 6 one dayers 1 washout

and only 4 matches decided over the full (160 overs)

if games can get away i say give them a chance b4 being to carefull

point taken pringles as we want to play as much cricket as we can. but as it being round 1 the wickets/grounds must surely be under prepared. further on into the season as you speak about, the wickets are well and truly set and covers would be used as to keep them in a playable shape.

yeah good point slocs just want to see games get away any 1st week if
possible to stop one dayers but understand possibly stuffing wet squares
this week would not be good long term

Basically DDCA have got a group of people doing a mock trial run of the potential new format THE POINTS SYSTEM instead of the salary cap, they will basically using the games this year work out a format to put forward for the following year they will just be using this years games to work out how it should be set up.
That is how i took it.

beaver i know all that, but i understand a club may have been asked by a ddca member to prove that they are compling with rule 7.

Not openly asked, but maybe quietly. I have no idea.

I know who it is, that is the Bloke who played at your club last year with the glasses who said he was Frangas mate i think. He rocked up when metho's played teh Bears in the T/20 game and you guys thought he was with us and we thought he was with you. But he played at the Bears.
