What work did the council have to do? You are in the city of casey dont you have to organise your wicket maintenance yourself? What soil have they used gooch is it merri creek? I wouldn't have thought that the soil would be the problem.
I can't understand why Beaver says it appeared to be a safe wicket? Obviously it didn't appear to be a safe wicket in the umpires eyes and I don't think insinuating that the umps were happy just to call it off and collect their money is very helpful in the situation.

Any truth that the wicket was mowed shorter from bowling crease to bowling crease than it was from the stumps to bowling crease areas. That is to say that 58 feetwere shorter cut than the 4 feet at each end???
Yes, that is true. That was done to help hold it together a little. I was very dubious about this but I was proved to be wrong as even after 3 hours play, the wicket ends were almost undamaged.
Hey all i have done is posted my disbelief at the MM's game not getting up & told you what our plans are for you on Saturday.
I have not gummed off or been ****y at all, it appears you have lostyour sense of humour Craig.
beaver i'm not quite sure you know what a sense of humor actually is. it's pointless me going through it really. and as for saturday, you must be kidding posting mind games on here surely. laughable really.
I do like the Mordi captain coach continually slagging the umps though, you never know who reads this forum.
Hey i had no idea who they were until Slocs posted there names, i am not saying there bad umpires i am saying the process that eventuated was poor imo. Now if someone can inform me if that is a DDCA ruling or the Umpires made the correct decission calling it off at 12.15pm.
Anyway does not really matter what i think, as someone will twist it around.
