ok just put all the argy bargy aside this is a seirous topic
should the DDCA have a club championship
people may say that the clubs aint even but surely if we say that every club that has say 4 teams can be involved
say a clubs top 4 teams are the only teams that can gain points in the championship and i am sure that the DDCA has enough depth to get this baby rolling
wat are your thoughts

I don't think we need it Norm we alreay have 1 similar called Turf 1. The only clubs that would see merit in it would be clubs with no Turf 1 to make them think they could compete with the T1 clubs but in reality they just arn't up to it.

well i disagree with u completely firstly turf one is 11 blokes not an entire club
and secondly only a turf one player would think like that
have a look at how they do it in premier cricket
the clubs prefer to win the club championship rather then a first XI flag

Champ i can swear on my life Norm is not me, i have been working in Melton for the last 2 weeks been leaving at 5.30 am and getting home at roughly 4.45pm.
Anyone who has me on FB can support that as i have not been on during the day time, so i would like to distant myself from this person.

If you change your name to whippet or shzitzu which is about appropriate considering the minimal noise you are barking atm.

how is it a stupid idea goochy or is it just stupid because u wont win one
it is a club goal
are u telling me u sit down and say u are hsd and say we want to win turf 2 as a club goal
give me a break cause it is only good for the 11 blokes out there not an entire club
i club championship is a bit of fun and will bring a good spirit to the game
sure the ddca can make another honour board and a trophy for this
seriously if u were as open minded with this as u are with kissing blokes u would be all for it

Norm listen here.

Most people play cricket for the passion, competitive feeling, Play with your mates & socialise & most of importantly to win Premierships with those mates.
No one plays for club championship you goose (i am trying to remain polite), if your club happens to win a club championship at the end of the season well that is all well and good and well recieved. But no clubs go out of there way to win this award.
No i think i am qualified on this matter as in my old competition my old club of 11 years won it like 7 out of the last 9 years and we were happy yes to be considered a powerful club.
But when we won the 1stX1 premiership 4 years ago that was more enjoyable for the whole club then a club championship.

End of discussion.
