Ok. Stumpy. Why would anyone start a new post to discuss a batsman who made 11? Or a bowler who had bowled 6 innocuous overs? This in the same game that had seen some sensational cricket, yet you can honestly tell me you decide to ignore all that and prefer to choose 2 meaningless performances???! It just doesn't make sense - and I don't care what you reply to that statement. You will never convince the majority.
The "condescending comments" as you put it were not aimed at you initially yet you chose to attack me personally when I have done nothing but defend you in the past. I've never said a bad word about you on here or to anyone.
If you looked carefully you would see that there was an obvious case of "funny buggers" going on between myself, Beaver and Rob Ward. Rob spotted it. So did Beav (he cleverly didn't bite).
So your atttack on me seems to be based around the fact that your slant on Clarke and Hauritz was vilified and once you saw that the opinion of the board was conclusively (and correctly) against you, you tried to get away from it via this rather transparent smokescreen!
It is not my fault that you could not see what was really going on. You could argue that it doesn't matter anyway as whatever it was it was clogging up your precious thread (and heaven forbid, that just never goes on anywhere else does it!!!??).
But at the end of the day though, your thread WAS rubbish and needed something to revive it. So yes, Stumpy. BE THANKFUL!! :P
I don't want to upset anyone by talking in this thread about something other than Michael's 11 and Nathan's 36 deliveries, but Windies.....just do it....ONE TIME!!!
You don't speak for the majority. Yes you make condescending comments and choose to say that they are not an attack on those posting.
Bah humbug.
I just get tired of seeing you, Beaver, Hoff and others clogging up a discussion with meaningless personal tripe. As I said start another topic if you want to take the urine out of each other.

If the subcontinent teams didn't complain so much there would be no referral system.
This system is flawed by lack of accounting for wind, differences in areas of the pitch, state of a wicket, be it a drop in or an established square, grass cover and humidity. All of these have an effect on the ball travelling through the air, the bounce and direction.
It should be scrapped and left to the 3rd umpire to point out a possible referral of an onfield decision but only in respect of whether a ball has been hit or not. Run outs and stumpings should be adjudicated by replay if umpire is unsure.
