Things are hotting up in Turf1 especially after yesterdays upset with SSCC going down the race for the top 4 is open with Franks stepping up with a magical display to keep Buckleys chances & hopes alive. Berwick who have seemed to be the number 1 team in the competition this year stand on top of the ladder but are only 1 loss away from slipping out side the four. Some cracking games to follow in the onedayers after xmas some would say a 12pt game as game of the round sees Berwick pitted up against last years premiers in Parkfield aswell as SSCC v Nth dandy which could make or brake SSCC season then there is Hallam V Mordi who have a chance to jump into the four from 5th position in the top flight. Rd 7 is jam packed of some quality contest as all of the games where sides are pitted against each other no one is seperated by more then 3 spots on the ladder, we could well see alot of sides leap frog a number of sides throwing themselves into contention......but conversially for some sides it is a opportunity to lose touch of the March action and for others they will be firmly cemented at the bottom run of the ladder.
To all have a lovely xmas brake, enjoy it be safe as i look forward to the cricket ahead in 2010. :)

Well done yesterday Beav....which run of the ladder do you think your boys will finish?
to much cricket ahead of us to determine where we will finish, you lads are a quality outfit and we have to get past you..........and as i said on another thread, one loss and we can lose touch with the pack. But in saying that 6th or 7th is a good result for the club, we are not a top 4 side atm......simple as that.

A slip up by the boys yesterday but well played to Narre. Their bowlers kept brakeing through at the right times and won quite easily. Time for our lads to regroup over the brake and hopefully gain some momentum, make the finals and not allow anyone to put the breaks on some good form.

C'mon mate. You know as well as I do that we got lucky. Berwick, Hallam & Nth Dandy (with Mapatuna) are clear Flag Favourites with you blokes and Mordialloc being the sleepers. We will be happy with a top six finish and just aim to be competative with the big boys every week.
that is ridiculous stocky. comfortable flag win last year and cruised into 3rd spot at xmas. and as dale said, you's are travelling better than last year. (good to see alles will be back also)
Really cant see Berwick or Hallam not making the GF. It's close this year and we would just be rapt to make the finals and in the words of Cam McDonald mix it with the league "Power Houses."

Nth Dandy to make way in the four for Springy Sth I rekon.. will be very close either way. Some big games come round 11.
The four looks set in T2 with teams just jostling for position from here on in. As good as HSD are, being 9 points from 4th will take a massive second half of the year from them to mount a challenge.
Ringo dont count your chickens before they hatch mate, its a long season and HSD are every chance off getting in with your mob still to play the 2 top teams in turf 2!
