Don't know Goochy, think it may have been because they lost the points over the ring-in saga & were hell bent on winning this game, as it stood it was 2nd v 3rd. It was like they wanted something to happen. If they want the points that bad they can have them because they won't last 5 mins with real umpires in Finals. Its obvious the Ring-ins from Murrembeena & Auravale are class players & could walk in to most Turf sides.
Its a shame this stuff happens, especially in the bottom grade where most guys are either winding down their careers or just wanting to have fun, help kids come thru or play with their children, buckley had a similar problem last week apparently. hopefully the narree boys stick it out good bunch of blokes!
Exactly right Gremlin...... most F Graders are players that struggle to keep up with their past standard of cricket...but love the game to death so they continue playing down in F Grade. For fun mainly and any wins and premiership are just icing on the cake.
If all this is true.....FAAARK EM. TAKE THEIR SEASONS POINTS OFF THEM AND GO AND TELL THEM TO GET A LIFE.

can confirm the player under a false name caught him out straight away. we played them in a one dayer then two weeks later played them in a 2 dayer they are a joke and they are setting a bad image to kids they shirt front blokes and they bend the rules to there advantage but then they have the nerve to ask us not to bowl short to there juniors and that we supply a scorer
I was lucky enough to be down watching this all happen. This team were a strange group there were 4-5 who wanted just to play cricket and the rest were just a rabble. They would not join for afternoon tea said it was to far to walk (150mt approx ) but then used the cantain and also had fish and chips delivered.
. I was personally abused for walking onto the ground to remove the stumps which I was asked to do by a comittee member
Our F grade side is full of blokes over 45 who have played cricket for more than 30 years & we have never witnessed anything like it. I thought playing Doveton can be bad sometimes but these blokes made Doveton look like choir boys. It could have got out of control but we think we made the right decision by walking away.
To be fair it was incited by one player, but 2-3 joined in & encouraged by thier suspended captain on the sideline. Disgraceful.
Surely the comp will ban these blokes and take the points off them, its just not cricket !!!!!!
ultimatly your there to play a game we all love ,not there to start trouble and set a shocking example to the kids they are clearly feral down at that club.

I received a phone call from thier President of Lyndale this evening who is very concerned & contrite about what happened Saturday so i respect that, they are very dissapointed about a few individuals & they will deal with them. It is probably unfair to tarnish the whole club by actions from a few, but i still hope & trust the league to do the right thing & a thorough hearing is sanctioned to deal with the main culprits. I will also add the one Senior Lyndale player who kept out of the abuse actually returned to club on Saturday night & quit the club in protest at what some of his teammates did.
