I heard a rumour about another Lyndale F grade player who has anger issues used to play in the ddca under a undisclosed name and has returned to the league and plays under the name of David Graham

My son was playing on the ground next to this match and i can vouch that these Lyndale blokes carried on like gooses and i dont blame the guys from walking off.I was just glad that my sons or any other of the juniors from Narre were not playing that day.

Laws of Cricket

 5. Fair delivery the feet
For a delivery to be fair in respect of the feet, in the delivery stride
(i) the bowlers back foot must land within and not touching the return crease.
(ii) the bowlers front foot must land with some part of the foot,
whether grounded or raised, behind the popping crease.

If the umpire at the bowlers end is not satisfied that both these conditions have been met, he shall call and signal No ball.

Stumpy id like to know how can an umpire tell if the bowler has his foot in the air  and its either over the line or behind when he delivers the ball that it is a no ball.

Its surley hard enough to do this when the foot lands. My foot is always in the air when i deliver the ball and then comes down after i deliver the ball so in theory it should not be a no ball.

At the end of the day, IT IS F GRADE CRICKET!!! dodgy decisions happen all the time, whether it is a deliberate act or just lack of knowledge, it doesnt condone verbal abuse physical threats or whatever else happened there. If you cant handle the decisions, give up or play in a higher grade where official umpires make the decision. It is the bottom grade!!! mistakes happen all the time, it is supposed to be enjoyable and friendly!!! it seems a few clubs have had issues with the team involved this season, you have to remember when you run out onto the ground you represent a CLUB! as a whole. not yourself as an individual! Its simple get on with the game! because thats all it is A GAME!!

It must of been really over the top for Narre to walk off, one of our under 15s copped a fair bit of banter / trash talk on the weekend while batting in C grade he stuck it out

Mate it is 2.16pm now and that Alias posted yesterday at roughly 11.30am when i was hard at work in Rowville ask Sir he can vouch for me that i was not any where near a computer.
But yes half way through this persons ramble i knew that someone would say it was me as it made no sense, but to be fair i think my construction on sentences has improved over the last 18 months to the point where even i am not that bad anymore.

Just have a question regarding a rule and what would have happened.

We had to bowl 1 over to Coomoora yesterday and after having no one infront of the bat apart from bad pad and silly point.........5 balls down and with one ball to go.
The batsman decided to bat i would of said 2 and half meters out side the crease to Trav and i am not exaggerating either, 2nd slip moved forward that put him roughly 3 meters  away from the stumps but before the ball was bowled i stopped play and questioned the umpire as the batsman was clearly at least 4 feet into the safety zone, on inspection by the umpire he was told to move back behind the marked area where he can not pass.
Word was if i did not stop the batsman Trav would have bowled the ball to close 2nd slip off the wicket making it a wide but having the batsman so far down the wicket if the fielder caught it cleanly would have run the bat out easily. Very bizarre situation and my understanding is batsman would have been out and ball to be re-bowled and one to the score?

You're spot on oddball, you've got this whole "construction on sentences" thing down pat now...
