my thoughts are that if the lazy f'in curators do their work then we shouldn't have a problem. they should have slept in this morning and done their 8 hours work from 12pm to 8pm. waste of a weeks work otherwise. part of the job the changing hours. be a long queue of people wanting a job like theirs full time.

I agree however the flipside is that some curators(yes berwick)and im sure others put in work tues and wed and see it go down the drain thursday arvo But i know im banging my head against a brick wall

mate i would suggest the tues and wed work is vital. because it rains thursday means **** if the pitch is rolled and dry in preperation for the rain. finish it fri arvo/evening and sat morn. no need to bang the head against the wall.
why did he wait until 10.30 el pres when the radio show announced it was off at 9.30? just asking.
and pringles one of your guys told me today that you's don't need to play anyway.
Slocs, what are you trying to say here? You might as well spit it out..........
The curator was there at 7am. By 9:20 we decided there was no chance of getting the deck up, so we texted Moose so it could be announced on the radio show.
When the curator and I left Sweeney to get ready for our games at 10:30 it was still to wet to get a roller on. I didn't say he waited until then to roll it, I was just emphasising the fact of how wet it was.
Of course he wasn't waiting to try and roll it once we had informed the league we wouldn't get it up, but I know that you know that already (because its a ridiculous comment).
As for your point about lazy curators, in the city of Casey we hire our own curators. Which you also know. They are not full time and have to work around their normal hours of work. I wish we could pay them full time, and i'm sure there would be a big queue for the job but we can't.
If it doesn't rain tonight there will be play at Sweeney tomorrow.

Was the same last week, although the rain came on the Friday, as well as the Thursday. He was there at 7am on the Saturday but by 10:30 it was still way to wet to get the roller on.
The wickets always look worse then what they are, everyone s-hits themselves if it ain't a road. Why can't we just get on and see how it plays and let the umpires continue the game or call it off?
i agreed from the start. was just being silly about the times comment relax. maybe casey council should start paying like city of dandy.
goochy you have chucked your 2 bobs worth in plenty of times about improving the playing conditions. by saying just get on with it is absolute garbage. maybe i'm too used to harold rd i don't know. but i say, if harold rd and keys and now some other grounds can be good then why accept ordinary playing conditions and "just get on with it".

yes it is vital but the bottom line is slocs that there will be play at our ground tomorrow but on a vastly inferior pitch to the one it would have been if it was covered yesterday (just my opinion)
