I think it is and that stuff just turns to slop at the 1st sign of rain, i don't know why it gets used. They say the Bulli Merri Creek soil is meant to be renowned for its ability to percolate water Merri Creek soils are largely composed of smectite. Bulli Merri Creek soils are alluvial black earths. Collins wicket soil (Sydney) is a volcanic black earth with properties which mirror those of the original Bulli soil. Thought you should know that lol
Strathaird is Portland soil. Merri Creek soil is no longer used as the concession ran out years ago and the market gardens where it was taken from are now housing developments.
