Had to have a laugh yesterday at a Turf 1 Game when the umpire signalled byes and a scorer held up a yellow plastic hand(or paddle) to reply faarkin funny.
He has the best arrangement in the business ! Did you get a good look at his set up Pringles ? He records each ball on this special other page apart from the scorebook. Its brilliant !
Imagine when springy south play narre. Surely you would need 2 scorers tables. How could fit all the crayons and textas let alone those 2 egos on one table.
Props to acknowledge the umpires, what a joke. The narre scorer brings more bags to the ground than the players do.

I was told when Billy was scoring against doveton he had with him the stationary section from the bigW catalogue on hand, he also had a few items circled that he wanted to improve his pencil case
i'd get one of those multi colour pencils that change colour as you use it. My little girls love 'em. Need the scorers to take their game to the next level.

Maybe that's why a couple clubs find it hard to get a full time scorer. Imagine spending 5 or 6 hours with these freaks. I'd rather fine leg to fine leg on a 40 degree day.

Pull your head in Plumb bob, these people do a great service to there clubs. Some may be eccentric yes but hey there are a few players with a screw short out there also. You sound like the type who probably does not lift a finger and realise the impact such people have? I am tipping most scorers do it for the love of the game and don't get paid for it, at Mordi our bloke rides his bike to the game and is never late and nevercomplains and does a great job.

Brett you really set yourself up sometimes.
