All of the talk that our game ended in suspicious circumstances is absolute crap. The reason for our result is ( no disrepect to the mordi players ) that we were playing a team i beleive to be the worst ive seen in turf 1 for a long time. The had 3-4 decent cricketeres, 2 very young kids, and the rest were simply not up to this standard. all this , plus spanna turning the ball square on a wicket that played like a day 5 wicket at mumbai is the reason for the result.

its me. I think what went on yesterday in other game is not right. we heard it when we were out on the ground after tea and we were all shattered. lucky for us we had a bowler who was almost unplayable against a team like i said wernt up to it

The fact remains they lost 17 wickets and i believe it was all over soon after 5pm on a pitch
the Doves made 270 odd on the week b4 and the weather this week would have only improved it a faarkin disgrace

if its proven a deal was done and an agreement was made then both clubs must lose their points.

Is it in the rules that 'deals' can't be done? Genuine question.

Go back to scheduling a one day game in Round 11. Dunno why they changed it back to a two-dayer. It opens the door for this sort of thing. A contrived result is not "cheating" as such, but in my opinion it's not really in the spirit of cricket either.

Pretty sure no rules were broken sir (as goochy said the poms won a test in sth africa the same way) just if or not it was in the spirit of the game.

There has to have been a deal done, why would parkfield declare unless they knew buckley would give them a shot at the outright?

Wether that is against the rules or just against good sportsmanship is the debate i guess?
Either way it just doesnt sit right from an impartial view.

Wonder what the umpires (including a league official) were thinking as this unfolded.

Does anyone from parkfield or buckley post on here? will be interesting to hear their stories.

According to the scoresheet from day one 202s, neil shaw was one of the umpires. He is on the league board or committee or something isnt he? i dont know for sure.

Not sure about that Bobby, wouldn't be the first time this year an umpire "Didn't see what went on at the tea break"................

its just not in the spirit of the game contriving a result. From what i have heard, dont know if its tue or not, a discussion took place b4 the game on the different scenarios that could happen if the game was going a certain way. its not right that a team 8 fa 90 chasing 250 can have such a great chance at winning outright. Last game has to be a 1 dayer. Having said that, ther is no rule against it and who knows, being in there situation we might have done the same thing
