if you were in parks and bucks shoes , what would you have done?

It's Parkfields declaration at 8 down that really doesn't sit right, you wouldn't do it unless you knew  the opposition cap was going to declare 0/0, Parkfield on any other day would fight tooth and nail to win the game.

did you check out the name of the forum that you started posting on today or did you forget what transpired over the weekend ??

I wrote a long reply and thought about it wonder why bother. You are speaking with a heavy heart through disappointed for your friends and i understand that. I will let you know i wanted SSCC to stay in the 4 and wished BRCC & PCC did not get a outright but it happened so please don't blow up at me.

They were not going to win the game from that position at tea, and knowing that buckly had to get the outright it makes sense. Buckly was never going to inforce the follow on and logically they would bat for a few overs and delcare or as they did do it at 0/0 meaning a realistic chase for parkfield and no overs lost in changeovers. It was a risk both teams had to take so there is nothing wrong from either captain.
Could only be seen as a contrived result if 1 of the teams had nothing to gain from it.

would anyone allow a batsmen to have a runner, but you knew the bloke did not hurt himself during the game, and you only need one wicket to win? and they need 20 to make finals?

Sir , you are speaking to a bloke that would sell his nans false teeth to win a flag !!

in all seriousness there is a line that got crossed and i wouldnt play my cricket that way, i never have and i never will but hey everyone is entitled to there own opinion's on the issue , no laws/rules were broken but that being said it is pretty poor form, all the clubs that were involved i,d love to know how they would feel if it was them in sscc position ?? its a funny game and what goes around comes around and im sure people will never forget,it will certainly add a bit of spice to the comp next season when those teams meet.
