I think the rules & permits people have had a gutful of behavioural issues in recent times and I'd hate to be the next person up before them.

That HSD spectator/Turf 2 bowler who made a goose of himself at his second's game on Saturday can expect a call up in the very near future.

Racial vilification has no place in our competition and hopefully his club has already dealt with his embarrassing antics.

Nicko, why would the next person up before the rules and permits people be treated any different to those in the past?

I'm not saying for a second that the bloke in question didn't make a goose of himself (I wasn't there), but I'm quite suprised that a man in your position would make comments like you have prior to ANY PERSON having their case heard to establish guilt or innocence.

I totally agree with what you are saying though regarding racial slurs..........

Although it could have been worded better, I can see where Nicko is coming from.

MAYBE in hindsight they feel they did make a mistake over Chappy, and now it is time to get more serious and get things back on track.

Easy solution guys. Behave and there wont be any problems.

My point is Gooch, what if some bloke has done nothing wrong yet a league offical has writen on a public forum that he made a goose himself going on what he's heard or had reported to him, before the tribunal hearing has been heard to decide the outcome.

I played with a bloke the other year that was up on the exact same charges, I'm glad Nicko didn't come on here and tell us he made a goose of himself because he was cleared of the accusations at the rules and permits hearing.

*At no point am I saying the bloke from HSD is innocent, as I've previously said I wasn't there and he may be as guilty as sin.

Ah ok, I didn't read it like that.

Well, yeah, but in this case is the tribunal used to establish guilt or to distribute punishment? For all we know, the alleged offender may have already come clean to league officials about his involvement and all that must be decided now is how he is dealt with.

Ray actually says "I think" and never states the rules and permits people are going to make an example of anyone. There has been a lot of issues this year and maybe they need to be tougher to get the message across.

The bottom line is a league exec member shouldn't be on this forum discussing these matters (the one in question with the HSD player/ or any matter pending a tribunal hearing) untill they've been sorted through the appropiate process......if at all.

           Im hearing you gooch but you cant make the next poor prick who is called up
           pay for past mistakes surely 

           And prince is 100% a member of the exec shouldnt be commenting on here about it

          I might not get any support gooch but i think we have to let the season run its course now and then a full review of the tribunal with maybe an AFL style set penalty
system i.e swearing (SET PENALTY) contact (SET PENALTY) im sure u get the gist
take it out of the tribunals hands unless there is an appeal what do u think?
