Did the league execs bring in the 2 captains and players involved to discuss rule 10.3
so they were clear in there own minds that there was nothing untoward regarding the result ??? genuine question

That rule 10.3 in the letter is a cricket Victoria rule not a DDCA one. Must be used in Premier cricket I guess. DDCA rule 10.3 is about fees paid for protests or something. Don't think there is anything for Hawk and co to look at.

i think the letter is suggesting that we adopt the said ammendment....which could be better than having a r11 one dayer

I don't think that amendment would necessarily prevent what happened. It's a bit of a stretch but one could argue that the captains could have made there declarations independently. Parkfield to have an outside chance at a run chase and Buckley to make parkfield chase and not shut up shop.

Hey I sure I will get slammed bymost on this forum for this, and I also think what happened at parkfield was wrong and against the spirit of the game. While the letter to the ddca made some excellent points about captains conspiring to achieve results, in my opinion the letter and the whole point of the letter lost a bit of focus when questioning the pitch and result at mordialloc.
I can appreciate sscc disappointment is missing finals but not once in all this forum chat have I heard anyone from sscc jut say we had an average season that along with the events of Saturday lead to us missing finals. Only one victory against a finals team for the season and an ordinary loss to the second bottom side in narre Warren.
Anyway i hope some changes do come from Saturdays event cause like I said earlier I disagree with how it was played out.

Like i said, line up to have a crack at me but that's just my opinion.

Plumb, i am not sure how that is relevant but i am sure our average season was still good enough to play finals as of about 4pm sat ...

we have had many conversations since sat about how our year has been , as i am sure most clubs who missed out have also had ....

Yeah fair enough persuader, like I said I just thought the top half of the letter was excellent,well thought out and valid, just thought it crept towards a bit of whinge with the mordi stuff.
The rest was just my way of saying I don't think you can judge a whole season on 1 game.
