Any chance you can reveal the umpire appointments for this weekend? PLease tell us all that J K is not doing a Turf 1 Semi-Final.

i thought john kristy was the worlds best umpire but he's doing turf 5.

is scott olufson from dandy west? how in the fark can he be umpiring dandy west in a granny?

I was going to say the same thing hoff. Scotty is definitely from Dandy West. Not saying he'll favour them, might even work the opposite way, but they shouldn't have put him in that position.

Sounds a bit weird that a bloke would be appointed to umpire his own clubs grand final. Gotta be a misprint......surely.......

So if St Mary's, Southern Pirates or whomever Moose played for made the Turf 1 grand final you would exclude Moose from umpiring even though an independent panel found him to be onef the best two umpires in the association.

Umpires are impartial and that means they put club loyalties to the side.  It's hard enough to get decisions right without tempering them with club loyalty.

BTW I played my last game with Cranbourne in 92/93 so should I also be excluded from Turf 2 Grand Final.

 There are more umpires who have played with DDCA clubs than haven't played with DDCA Clubs

Ok Stump, what do you think will be the response if Cranny are 9 fa needing 2 to win and Scott gives a howler of an LBW or Caught Behind? Or the other way around with Dandy West being 9 fa and he doesn't hear a snick that the 11 players on the fielding team hear?

I'll tell you now the response will be..........OUTRAGE!

PS, Scotts a good umpire and not the cheating type but you tell someone from Cranny that if my above example occurs.........

All 10 wickets from your end in the semi seems a bit strange.
