The bloke who dropped was by far the best player on the field over the 2 days and without him they wouldn't have got that close. As crap as he probably feels about it he can hold his head high..........

Cricket is a pr!ck of a game, you can do everything right for 2 days but he will probably be beating himself up for the dropped catch even though as you say, they wouldn't have got that close without him.

Was it Snakepit? I see he opened the batting, must be short on bats in the two's....smilesmile

Sounds like a ripping game anyway.

I tell ya what, Buckley were impressive on the weekend. Franks looks a farkin champion, big Shaneo is in red hot form since lending his cricket vest to Wheels, DJ bowls farkin smoke and any side with LHno.8 coming in so low must have a bit of depth. I haven't seen Hallam this year but from what i saw on the weekend they will be right up against it this week against a rampaging Buckley. Not that i really care either way now that Berwick and Doveton are out.

Dandy west to good for Lyndale, we might here more on this game.......good be a letter sent to DDCA head quarters asking for a Explanation this week????????? Mmmmmmmm

Beaver again you not quite right with your information.
1/ The last man out for Buckley (Westie) edge it to the keeper a big nick heard from the boundary by all and sundry, The one in question maybe the 8th wicket to fall where the doubt of whether he hit that ball or his pad

2/ Dandy West . The "WICKET " was not wet, it was part of the square close to the wicket  that had water on it. The Sprinklers came on early Monday Morning and are on a timer set by the council not Dandy west. This happens every Monday musch to the suprise of all concerned

don't think the Lyndale lads are to impressed by having there run chase today of 291 to win off 90 overs cut down to 60 overs because play was stopped due to Sprinklers going off last night under the covers?

Our captain and coach were obviously very angry when we turned up and found the strip next to the playing pitch wet. I know it's unlikely we'd chase down 290 even with 90 overs in hand but the fact that we got reduced to 61 overs of play initially.. and then pushed back even more pretty much ended our hopes of a competitive run chase.

It's of no fault of D. West's, from my point of view they were keen to get on and Greg Siewes and some other boys were landing a hand with the coves all game. You would just think that the council would have been informed we were playing on the monday but ah well.

Apparently there was a travisty with our T5 side not even getting on yesterday, and the umpires being absolute pricks. Would have taken us 15-20 overs of play to get a result.

Had a quick look at the one day comp results and noticed in the Parky/Buckley game that Parky batted 1st and smacked up 200 odd and the Bucks were "all out" for 60 odd with Parky only taking 7 wickets. The weird bit is that Buckley had 2 dnb's and the opener was timed out on 13!!

Does anyone know why this is? Strikes me as weird is all.

Maybe the opener ducked off for a leak at drinks and got his weapon caught in his fly when trying to do himself back up, then all his teammates come in to lend a hand but that only made it worse, he then thought fark it i'll just tape my box to the outside of my pants using a bit of duct tape that one of the boys had in his car because he's a plumber, then as he was walking out to bat he went to fart but ended up 5hitting himself and decided to head back to the pavillion to change his whites, but then realised he'd have to untape his box first, so he did that, then realised that his knob was still caught in his zipper, so he taped her back up and thought fark it i'll bat with 5hitstains instead, turned around, went to walk back out in the middle but the umpire was looking at his watch and said sorry mate, too late you've been timed out. Then two of the lower order bats grabbed the poor fella with the stuck Johnson, threw him in the car and took him to hospital thinking they could drop him off and get back before it was there turn to bat. But to there dismay, they got pulled over by a copper for speeding, and even though they told him there story and even gave the old sarge a look at this fellas poor old deshevelled shaft, the driver was still issued with a fine. Then when he went to fill out the paperwork he asked for the driver's license, which of course he didn't have on him because they left in such a hurry that he forgot his wallet was still in his cricket bag, so the copper took them back to the station where they had to fill out a statuary declaration before they could drive any further. Meanwhile poor old zippy is still in agony, but eventually the two boys get him to the hospital. They think with such an emergency they would get looked after first, but much to there displeasure they had to wait behind Dave Dervan who was getting fixed up for a blood nose! Anyway, the two fellas leave old zippy at the hospital and get back to the cricket where they find the two teams smashing stubbies. They got back too late and missed there bat.

What if that happened Rocky?

Cleared it up nicely thanks Train.

If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought you were taking the p1ss out of me until I read the part about Dervo and the blood nose because as we all know that probably did happen.
