League loses character
Permalink Closed

Just been informed that none other than this forums beloved own- Brett Ernst, has resigned his position of C/C of Mordialloc to return to his home club Bentleigh Uniting. He's had a big impact over these last two seasons and I think I can speak for him in saying that he's enjoyed every minute of it. I personally wish him all the best and hope he stays active on here - love him or hate him, he makes things interesting.

we all knew he wasn't gonna be up to turf 1 and now he's taking the easy option by running back to a crap comp where he might be a big fish. weak as piss maggot...!

Mr Hoff i could have stayed in Turf2 were it was easier but went for a new challenge in T1 cricket, i gave it a crack and probably failed. It was a good level of cricket which i enjoyed, imy honest opinion i played no were near my capabilities in my only year in the top flight.

You don't want to club hop but going back to Bentleigh will make it four clubs in four years....that makes sense!

Train i played there before i went to Methos for 12 years and it is the one club i call home. Hardly think i am club hoping by returning home.

Rocafella i left Bentleigh to Coach with the view of returning if i decide to just play and not Coach........i told them that and i am standing by that.

Either way the DDCA a great league excepted me for all i had to offer and along the way i met some great people and had some fun so i thank everyone who was involved in that.

No thoughts abt going back to MMs Brett?...... well supported and respected there. Could lead them out of their doldrums.

To be honest Rob there was........the quality of people there alone nearly dragged me back to the club.
But at the end of the day the issue was i was unsure if i wanted to Coach anymore and the travel is a massive drive so i decided to return to family and friends that i grew up with, i really hope they do well next year.

And i encourage anyone who is after a fresh change & are interested in Coaching at a loyal and great club then Maranatha is the place to go.

If your thinking about it or unsure, at least Enquire at.

Look for the Presidents name and number under club contacts.

hay Beaver u keep talking about not wanting to coach anywere in the ddca but couldnt u just play with a side instead and not coach. That also presents challenges and u might enjoy it more.
Just a thought anyway.
