Geez Prince. Fair bowling attack at the pit....both Judda and Jimmy at 1st change with Mick Lewis and Dave Dervan with the new pill. Hope we cop ya and it's a washout after we bowl. Quick question: Who gets the wind out of Mick and Dervo?

That's pretty noble and decent of Derv's seeming as he was recruited before Mad Mick as the number 1 man.

You gotta remember though Rocky, Dervo probably won't be able to commit to a full training schedule with his committments to developing a cure for cancer. It's probably the right thing to do by the club.

To be honest Rocky, Dervo had no choice really. Mick would've found it laughable if we told him he'd be running into the breeze or bowling 1st change, there's no way he would've signed. Dervo's been good about it, he realises there could be some easy scalps after Micks softened them up.

Dervo's put his hand up to run the clubs trivia night too, he's fitting in well.

Good on him. The best way to fit into a new club is to get involved early.

Is he running some of the preseason problem solving activities? One's like: Go in a round room and sit in the corner. Stuff like that.

Is Dervo getting time off from his quantum mathematics problems at the CSIRO.  It's realy good of them to give employes a good work/life balance.  All work no play would make Dave a dull boy.

Could be some truth in the Mick Lewis move. I work in Preston and can confirm Coburg are currently seeking a new skipper and coach for next season. Lewis did captain Coburg this season. Great for HSD and DDCA if it comes off.

i think you guys are off the mark as i have it from a good source that Mick Lewis has signed with Greenvale in the VTCA they have a shed load of cash and are spending up big !!

He was intending to play at Greenvale Max but he's moved his factory out this way and is moving house out here next month. He's told Greenvale the situation and they have accepted his situation.

Spoke to another Legal Aid yesterday who plays in the subbies and he knows Mick Lewis really well having played against him for several years at district level and played alongside him with Victoria...Lewis will be staying with Coburg...

Mail from the pit Legal is that Lewis' services have been "Compulsory Acquired" by the club. That's good enough for me.

Sorry HSD boys...In summing up, it's the Constitution, it's Mabo, it's justice, it's law, it's the vibe and --  Mick Lewis will remain a 'burger' for season 2010-11.

A friend of a friend of mine happens to be really good mates with Mad dog Lewis infact he was one of his bucks at his wedding.
Mick made a verbal agreement with coburg, but due to his work happenings he has deffo signed with the boys at the pitt and will be playing there, Coburg are not giving up in the chase for his services and are in negotiations with there sponsors to see what deal they can come too.

'now that is straight from the horse's mouth'
