Moldy is as good as anyone on his day! I just can't fathom why it happened so rarely last year.

There is no doubting it is going to be tough for them this year with many of the older guard perhaps taking a back seat. But what better time for some young stars to make an impression. They cant do much worse than we did!

dont blame the 3s and 4s for players not improving.
up to the kids to improve themselves and throw themselves into training and asking for help, especially at a district club.

Rocafella my point was that there a young side on inexperienced kids, it is very hard to rely on kids from 15-20 years of age to win you 1stx1 games of cricket and be consistant. There is no doubt Thomsy and Gooch did the bulk of the work with the odd cameo from the youngsters but to say the youngsters should have stepped it up was never going to happen 'just way to young'
There were a couple of really older lads who played here and there and in a ideal world they should have not, Thomsy should not be playing 1stx1 cricket anymore he should be enjoying the fruits of his labor which often he says but he had to due to the lack of experience.
Monkey is right he is just a park cricketer, who i like many thought he could have performed better but god knows how he didn't.......he shows glimpses of what he can offer then goes missing for 4-5 games.
The MM's have some great talent and i really do hope they can stay there next year and help rebuild.

Quite right Brett u shouldnt have to rely on the 15 - 20 year old kids to win you games , read my comment again it was never directed at the kids.
With the exception of maybe 2 players Beaven and Hardy the rest of the team isnt that young or inexperianced.
Check it out and then tell me whose arse is pointed to the sun.

I can assure you there were more kids playing then just the two kids who you had mentioned.

You missed probably the best kid we had for a start...Brendan Wilson.

But I think Rocafella makes some decent points though Beav.

IMO unless MMCC can recruit big then they will probably go down and that might be no bad thing. Drop down to T3 and rebuild a side that can enjoy the feeling of winning a few games.

Without sounding disrespectful, Thomsy and I have kept them up for 3 years (with Beavers help one year) and mere survival is far from being the best environment to introduce kids into turf cricket.

In saying this...I would love nothing more than to see some of these kids I've watched and helped out go on and turn things around. Show the old ****s how it's done! :)

Well done Goochie on yr service. My one year seeing you play and train i couldnt fault yr application at training and yr prep for match days. Loyal too when you knew the 1's were crap and could've looked elsewhere.

Cheapest big recruit MMCC has ever got.

Good luck at Port

I will always stick up for them when I feel they are being harshly criticised Rob but thankyou for your kind words and I look forward to a beer with you sometime.

I hear mmcc are set to sign a young player as captain/coach who has done neither in the ddca at any level. Interesting bearing in mind the perceived inexperience of the team from the outside.
