i would've thought kookaburra and gray nichols where the local cricket brand....not willowwizard
Of which Kookaburra is a major sponsor of the DDCA. And Knights sports in Bentleigh.
I would suggest to use them before someone getting a bit of free advertising.
Or maybe you get out there and sponsor a few of the struggling clubs instead.
I would think our sponsorship committee will be getting in contact.
I am a one man gig here at willowizard , While i cannot afford myself to give away cash , i am happy to do kit nights at clubs (any clubs ) and donate gear for percentage of goods sold . As for being LOCAL, I Also have bats made in Aus , I've offered to sponsor the DDCA. Willowizard gear is available @ Cannon Indoor Sports, who sponsor SSCC. I am DDCA born and bred FT. Any other questions you'd like answered FT happy to try my best to oblige with answers .So think i'm quite a bit more local than Kooka and GrayNics. If i had there cash i would sponsor every DDCA club personally. No issue with Knights sports they've been a longtime supporter of the ddca.
I'm sure Arnie will have the doveton boys in AWX kit next season .But still in the willowizard colored pads they got cheap last year woofa?
If i dont try and plug my gears ,, who is gonna ? Its good quality and doesn't harm any one to throw in an obvious cheap plug here and there. If i can help any clubs along the way within my means i'll try . Quirky if I've upset any @ SSCC or abused your forum in anyway ,which i hope i havent email and i'll apologise mate, you can delete me or what ever ya need to do.
cheers bapo

Your obviously not smart enough old timer, unless you are asked by admin why would you not?
FT...any truth to the rumour that you will be raising this burning issue at the next SSCC committee meeting? Any chance of another open letter to the league?
even playing field now, springy south will be cellar dwellers or in turf 2 with in 3 years. Surely this calls for another letter the league like last time things didn't go their way

love this alias. should be called sook about south. it's quite flattering.
FT are you always such a miserable bloke??? Seriously, your club does a great job running this forum but if it was up too you it would be exclusive to springy south blokes only. That's 2 or 3 times now you have had a sook about others using the "our forum" line. This forum is popular and interesting because it has most clubs represented and giving their input. Would be a pretty boring read if it was just one club. As for bapo, good on ya for having a crack.

And to SSCC, you guys should try and somehow get your sponsors details on these pages. I would think with the number of hits the forum gets your sponsors would love it. At a guess these pages would get more hits than your home page which most people bypass now to get straight to the forum.

Slocs, as to why the Synthetic clubs get a vote, I see your point, but I think it would be impossible for them not to. In reality, at the Rules and Affiliation meeting, officially, no club has sides in any grade. This is despite the fact that most know where they are playing. Even the promotion / relagation system isn't set in stone, the match committee can put clubs where they like. (Ask Doveton North).
I guess also, in theory the Synthetic sides could be striving towards turf cricket, and therefore have the right to vote on how the competition is run in case they get there.
Im not sold on the Point system, but I guess its now suck it and see as the I's have it.
