I don't mind what your opinion is Sir. I just thought this could and should be a great topic for discussion, and I didn't want you two banging on all night spoiling it !
I didn't mean that to sound like "I couldn't give a fcuk what you reckon" cos it kinda did when I read it back ! You know what I mean, I welcome all opinion.....
i think there needs to be a system, what that is I dont know. But I would hope that clubs are working with the ddca to find a solution not just shoot them down when they present an alternative system.
I don't think so Brett. That would mean you would have to use more 'home grown' players in your side, which probably means not fielding the best possible side you can.
If you want a true level playing field it is gauranteed to also dilute the strength of the comp (Turf 1 inparticular).
I have really though hard about this lately and I don't believe there should be a system in place just for the sake of it. I also cannot think of a system that is not flawed.
I honestly think it should just be wiped.
I also would like to know if there will be an 'off the record vote' held between points sytem and wipe rule 7 before it goes up against the existing rule 7. I'd hate for the system to be put to vote at the meeting and because half the clubs don't want it, it doesn't get passed and we are stuck with the farce we have now.........
i know how much work he has put into it and its been a lot and as i said before im not saying its right but clubs need to work with them otherwise it will turn to ****t and it will be no fault of the ddca.

I absolutely understand how much time and effort has been put into this, to get it to this point. I truly don't want to just shoot it down for the sake of it. It was clear last night the people involved were extremely passionate about what they had come up with. If they can answer the following, with something remotely convincing i'll shut up about it, because I think I made it pretty clear in my first post in this topic........
What are we trying to achieve ? Equality.
Does this system achieve it ? No.
So, what is the point of it ?
We are basically making guidelines which allow clubs to go out and spend as much as they want, on as many players as they want, only limiting them too where they source said players !
