BB......I agree with most of what you have said but sometimes arrogance can be mistaken for confidence and sometimes people dont like that. I applaud the DDCA for listening to the clubs that made the complaint and trying to resolve the issue and for asking all clubs to be involved in the decision making. I dont believe any club should just roll over and I havent suggested that at all, but what I will say is that unless all clubs approach this with an open mind, provide their point of view, offer alternative solutions and have a positive attitude we'll still be talking about this next year, then the DDCA will be arrogant in their approach in trying to implement this new rule and I will not blame them.
Clubs were given the opportunity last year to declare information about player payments with no ramifications, and correct me if Im wrong but no club admitted to breaching this rule, to me thats arrogance.

Anyone know of a captain coach in the DDCA that has taken massive paycuts to help recruit more players in the hope of winning a flag for the club he loves?

No they weren't Sir, If they had have had that opportunity, the whole investigation wouldn't have been the time wasting farce it was.

4 different clubs have won the turf 1 flag in the past 4 years. over the past 10 seasons, 95% of turf 1 clubs have finished higher than 6th. in the same period, no turf 1 club has gone broke and folded. what's the damn problem here? get a grip the lot of you. we play in a fantastic competition and should be proud of it.
Arfter reading all the different views on this forum . I agree that the salary cap doesn't work and hasn't for some time .I honestly don't think that the points system will work either as ther are 2 many variables with the way all clubs are set up and run . I would like to bring up a different idea and i don't know weather it would have any merrit all not. I think its pretty simple to fix all these problems . Solution; make every TURF club follow the same rules as the over seas player rule .Each club can only play 1 or 2 players in there ones that have come from another ddca club or higher league that season. "only a suggestion" There should be no restrictions to clubs that only have synthetic grades.
Selections nights will be a whole lot harder with the Points system, making sure you dont over step the treshold wth bringing up players from the 2nds etc
