LEADING Dandenong and District Cricket Association (DDCA) batsman Craig Slocombe has won selection in the Australian Over 35s indoor cricket team.

The Springvale South left-hander was chosen after representing Victoria in the Masters series at Frankston last week.

Slocombe captained the Vics, who lost to the ACT in the grand final.

North Dandenong opener Shane Clark - who, like Slocombe, plays for Springvale in indoor crickets Vic League - also turned out for Victoria.

Slocombe will wear the Australian cap at the World Cup on the Gold Coast in October.

England, Sri Lanka, South Africa and New Zealand also contest the cup.

Two former DDCA players will also play for Australia - John Joffa Mark in the Overs 40s and Chris Nuske in the Over 35s.
