And which club are you aligned to tiger. And before you start slagging off at clubs you may need to do a little research as to when the new covers came in with the DDCA and to when they decided to bring in the larger ones that cover the square. The larger ones came into the DDCA a year or two after these so called small ones, which are larger than the ones that use to cover the wickets at Keysy and Fotheringham Reserve. I might also add that it doesn't help that when the water restrictions were lifted that the council also turned on the sprinklers. The sprinklers came on at Keysy on a Thursday night after the deluge we had a couple of weeks ago. Why doesn't the sprinkler system have a rain sensor ? Does your club have a rain sensor and would you know what one looks like, not likely. The covers at Keysborough have nothing to do with why there was no play. I have been in the horticultural industry for over 24 years, been to University and have my Degrees. Unless you have a full understanding of Turf management and Horticulture, dont waste my time. A lot of people make comments about things that they know very little about, and they are the uneducated.

Were a silly mob at Keysborough , to fix issue of smaller covers ( purchased two years ago through D.D.C.A ) all we had to do was recruit EX Elpres and Tiger, with all their hot air wet spots on square not a issue anymore. Two ill informed people, who should solve issues at their respective clubs before wasting time having cheap shots at others
This is hilarious ! The whole peanut gallery has arrived !
Shaggy, are seriously telling me that the prepared pitch and the metre or so next to it that was covered was dry, but the rest of the square that wasn't covered was wet, had nothing to with the fact that the part that was covered was dry and the part that wasn't was wet ?! Brilliant !!!!
Fcuk me, watch who you are calling uneducated with that logic ! I seriously do not need a degree and 24 years experience to work out that, that is ludicrious !!!!
What the fcuk are you on about with the sprinklers?! Even if they did come on, if the square was covered, it would have been dry !
Shadow, you purchased the small covers two years ago ? Shaggy just said the larger covers were introduced a year or two after the smaller ones you bought ! What introduced this season were they ?!
Nobody is having cheap shots at your club boys. Simply pointing out the fact that small covers cost a game of cricket on Saturday. Why so bloody defensive ???
Sir came straight out and said thats why there was no play at Berwick. Is he having cheap shots at his own club ? No, just stating FACTS.
For the record Shadow, if you recruited me, you'd have big covers and it wouldn't be an issue
Not only do they get smashed on field exelpres has totally smashed them off it. Is there a 2nds forum where these keysy guys can drop down to where their more suited. hahahaha

Clubs that do not the larger version covers, which are 30 metres x 15 metres (and purchased in recent times from ABC Tarps in Mount Waverley) are to immediately order new covers through the DDCA.
