some captains will do what is required to obtain a result.
Love this line................
I don't know, but I would expect all captains would do what is required to get a result for their team...
Have a chat to ur turf1 captain then Harry. When asked 3 times to sweep the bowlers run-ups, nothing was done. Didnt help with the covers and there wasnt even a 30mtr circle lined out because it was obviously a 1 day game.

I said I would expect all captains to do so, not that they actually all do.
I am guessing this was from last round Tiger? I would have expected they would do all they could to play a game, especially with how much cricket has been lost lately. There is that word though, expect. What we get isn't always what was expected. It is a problem with the ground in that the water pools just off the covers in the run ups. If the club went out and got the full size covers it would eliminate the far pitch problem the small covers create and with the old covers presumably still being kept, could be laid down over those run-ups when heavy rain is expected. No idea if we are getting the covers though, I have nothing to do with committee anymore.
Heard about that circle during the day too, this from what I hear, was a miscommunication in that our 1's just expected that this would be done for them.

I expect the DDCA will be sending out an email reminding clubs of how to properly secure their covers now?? I presume the league will now enforce all clubs to purchase the appropriate size pegs to properly peg down their covers.

Lucky we all being forced to buy bigger new covers. They would be very handy on a day like today. Oops, no wait it's Thursday. Silly me. Just drove past ringwoods ground. Idiots. Fancy having the covers on today, if their not careful they will have to play cricket on Saturday.

Settle down sheep. Their wicket would've sweated more than the rain we had today. Lucky to be a mil. It won't rain again this week and we will all play on the weekend.
I reckon your right train but was i more just talking about the covers in general. What if it pi55ed down today?? Lots of soft tables out there that wouldn't take much rain to make them unplayable.

Only a moron like yourself tiger would fail to see my sarcasm in my first post. Instead of just taking pot shots dikhead why don't you try and contribute something constructive. Do you agree with out covers policy?
