Just wondering if any other captians are wondering if the game can be won with the toss of the coin. Surely if thats the case the DDCA have made the wrong call in this instance??
Not a captain but cannot see how a common sense decision that will allow us to actually play this week where we normally wouldn't can be critisied. Theres nothing to say next weeks weather will be any better. Weve all played on far worse wickets that what we will get tomorrow. Surely this rule will be in from the start of next season. HSD will be a road anyway.
Looking at the scores with the exception of maybe one or two scores you would have to say covers down Thursday was a success. May it continue as common sense dictates.
Along with having new covers keysy and the local council are building higher fencing after a group of teenagers were caught spittng on the ground saturday night when walking past. With the grounds poor drainage record this was always going to be a problem with a game the next day. Its good there being pro-active and looking to improve.

KEYSY WOULD GET WASHED OUT IF A WATER BOMB WAS THROWN ANYWHERE ON THEIR GROUND.
i understand that the covers going down means we will play more but it isnt fair that the rule be changed 3/4 threw the season sides get washouts against the bottom 3 sides and wat not it just aint right weather your top or bottom everyone must agree or am i wrong ?????????
so last week covers could be put down on thursday and everyone played , this week your not allowed wtf with that, lets see how many wash outs or sides getting rolled cheaply on wet tracks, heres a tip for the ddca change the stupid rule
What would be the point putting the covers down last night when most wickets were soaked? You can't cover wet wickets.
The only hope of play is for wickets to be ready to go around mid afternoon today and then covered. Even then with the forecast rain it will be tough to get on
